The True Costs for ILLEGAL Aliens

Louis Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Ivan Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Ready? Now pay attention...

Louis Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000..00 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Louis Legal now has $31,231.00.

Ivan Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.00 per year. Ivan Illegal pays no taxes. Ivan Illegal now has $31,200.00.

Louis Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Louis Legal now has $24,031.00.

Ivan Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Ivan Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Louis Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Louis Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Louis Legal now has $18,031.00.

Ivan Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Ivan Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Louis Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Louis Legal now has $9,631.00.

Ivan Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Ivan Illegal pays $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Ivan Illegal still has $ 31,200.00.

Louis Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for health care insurance. Louis Legal now has $7,231.00.

Ivan Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00.

Louis Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Ivan Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month.

Louis Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work..

Ivan Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Louis Legal's and Ivan Illegal's children both attend the same school. Louis Legal pays for his children's lunches while Ivan Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch. Ivan Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Louis Legal's children go home.

Louis Legal and Ivan Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Louis paid for them and Ivan did not.
Do you get it, now?
If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens...
You are part of the problem!

It's way PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans!

How To Fix The Economy

 The Fix

There recently was an article in the  St. Petersburg Fl. Times. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on:  "How Would You Fix the Economy?"
I think this guy nailed it!
  _____

Dear Mr. President,

Please find below my suggestion for fixing
America 's economy.  Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan":

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force.  Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire.  Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They MUST buy a new American CAR.  Forty million cars ordered ? Auto Industry fixed.

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage ? Housing Crisis fixed.

It can't get any easier than that!!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes...

Mr. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!

If you think this would work, please forward to everyone you know.

      If not, please disregard.

Dissension in the Ranks

Over the last few weeks some unfortunate things have been happening in Central Florida, with regard to the conservative/tea party political arena.

In a number of cases campaigns have been waged, primarily via email, trying to bring down one group or another.  I will try to avoid being too specific, but in many cases the participants in these childish exchanges will be obvious. At the very least, the participants should recognize themselves and hopefully feel ashamed.

I will start with a series of emails around the Orange Country Republican Executive Committee (OCREC) Hob Nob, last week. This was publicized in advance as a fund raiser and yet there were voices shouting that this was wrong, do not attend, do not pay any money, etc. As if the OCREC should not be allowed to raise funds. I understand that issues have been raised about accountability for OCREC funds, but as the representative group of the GOP at a county level, OCREC needs to collect funds to help ensure that Republicans can be elected in 2010. There a legal and necessary steps to be taken to resolve the accounting issues, but do not take out your frustrations on the general membership, and by extension Republicans all over, by trying to torpedo their fund raising.

The second set of public name calling concerned the Tea Party Express and the organization of its last stop, here in Orlando. Here too was a call to avoid the event, published far and wide by email, also resulting in replies, and counter replies backwards and forwards. Some of this discussion was even taken to the airwaves, thereby bringing it to an even wider audience. Airing dirty linen in public does no good for our movement, unless there is proven evidence of fraud, and while much of the rhetoric was heated, I never saw accusations of out and out fraud. And while there were some issues in the organization which I will address below, the main accuser has a slightly hypocritical tone to his rants. Although he complained about commercialization of the Tea party name and events, he forget that his own radio program/web-site promotes the sales of conservative books and education materials, are they being given away? Further more most organizers of previous events have never given a full accounting of the financial results of their events, they could be losing money, they could be making money. And while the buzz is that previous events were paid for, but did not make money, they are just unconfirmed stories, no official reckoning has been given, or needs to be. But then do not expect more from others when someone else takes up the torch.   Finally,  although the accuser was encouraging people not to attend, the candidate for which he is campaign manager did have a booth at the event. Playing both sides of the fence there are we?
On the organization side, there had been much to-do about the fact that the costs of the event were being covered by the selling of booth space, and space in a printed program. However, the organizer had been very up front in stating that this was not a charitable event and that any profit would indeed accrue to his own organization. We are indeed a capitalist society, at least for as long as 0bama will allow, so we should not complain about this. On the other side, with costs for services or products comes an expectation of value. it seems that the event may have fallen down in that respect. Although I was on a business trip and only arrived midway through the event, I heard a number of disquieting problems and issues from a number of people that I talked to after my late arrival.
I did address some of these issues directly with the organizer (not via blast emails!) and he has provided his answers in a blog on his own web-site. Thus the public can make their own decision about the veracity of these replies. The answers postulated all seem reasonable, my only concern is that sometimes the description of the issue differs slightly from what I heard at the event, or afterwards, and this leaves loose ends for the future.

I was disappointed at the washing of dirty linen in public that the above mentioned exchanges brought about, and yet, in order to address these problems in our movement, I have had to resort to some washing of my own. For that I apologize to my readers, but I feel that I could not discuss the overall problems without some specificity. I believe that we need to overcome these growing pains by moving into a more professional approach in everything that we do. The good news is that just before the Tea Party Express event, a Summit was held in Orlando of conservative activist groups from all over Florida. By communicating at a leadership level I am sure that we can channel all the good energy that is being generated throughout the many different groups and translate that energy into support for good solid conservative candidates. A by-product of our leadership sharing will no doubt be better and more transparent processes for organization of our grass roots events in the future.

Quiet weekend, could not make the Veterans Parade in Orlando as we had to

Prophetic words?

On September 19th, 2001 0bama was reported to have said
the following to excuse the 9/11 attacks "Most often, though, it
grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair."
Lets look at these words "Most often, though, it
grows out of a climate of poverty [taxed to death] and ignorance[legislators
who do not know the Constitution], helplessness [1 million + demonstrate at
the Capitol and no-one listens] and despair [legislative bills are rammed
through using procedural tricks].

Big Brother IS watching you!

It looks like it has become time to start using "anonimizer" proxy servers which hide your IP (Internet) address when surfing. Eric Holder's DOJ has subpoenaed a web-site, with a gag order that was supposed to prevent them letting people know that they had made this request. Luckily for us, someone spilled the beans so we now know that this is going on. Of course, how many other sites have received such subpoenas and felt intimidated by the gag order. For what possible purpose could this information be required? Do you trust this administration? Hello, Big Brother has arrived!

Of course, where is all the Left's indignation as with the wiretapping during the Bush years. At least the Bush administration could justify their actions as one end of the calls was outside the US. This latest activity is spying on domestic citizens, pure and simple.

White scumbag speak with forked tongue

The left has been crowing about a so-called lesson that Scumbag Grayson delivered to Rep. Broun, when the ACORN defunding was being debated. All that this actually did was show how much of a hypocrite the scumbag is. His argument was that the bill was a bill of attainder (unfairly attacking a person or ealily identifiable group of people) and therefore unconstitutional. If Grayson is such a constitutional scholar then why did he vote in favor of the bill that was to "fine" certain bank employees 90% of their bonuses. This also falls into the category of a bill of attainder. And his vote yes in April is even worse as it sought to impose fines after the fact.

November 2010 cannot come soon enough so that we can get rid of this lying, cheating, cowardly hypocrite!

We the people........

Yesterday, November 7th, the house passed a momentous bill, against the will of the majority of the people of these United States. Many had battled for long hours to prevent this travesty occuring, to no avail. However, this is just a battle and the war is not yet lost. As the great British statesman, Sir Winston Churchill once said, "Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm." We will feel badly today, and allow ourselves the luxury of mourning the loss of this battle. But tomorrow we will stand up again and continue down the path that we know is right, the path of Freedom and Liberty.

We must continue to strive against the socialist/marxist attempts to enslave us, and make sure that November 7th does not join December 7th in becoming a day of infamy, the day that "We the people..." became "We the government..."

Michele Bachmann's House Call Nov. 5th, 2009

The good, the bad and the ugly

The good
On a beautiful fall day, thousands of people made the trek to DC from all over the country on just 6 days notice, to protest t
he Pelosi (and other) Health Care Bills. Theme for the day was "Kill The Bill." On my trip, via Atlanta, the Atlanta-DC leg had over 40 Delta employees using their travel privileges to come to the event. On the way and at the site there was such a spirit of friendship and comradeship that was heart warming. We all knew that we were participating in something special, although smaller, still as important as the 9-12 Saturday, as it showed our passion and ability to activate masses of people at short notice.
Energizing speeches by Michele Bachmann, Jon Voight, Mark Levin and John Raztenberger (Cliff from Cheers).
After the "Press Conference" on the Capitol steps, thousand of us moved into the Congress and Senate buildings, to meet our legislators, where possible, or to deliver notes of protest about these terrible bills. Also I was able to take a tour of the
Capitol, as a relatively new citizen a special moment for me.
The Bad
late start of the event, over 20 minutes later than originally published.
A whole litany of Republicans wanting to ride the bandwagon, making speeches at us, rather than listening to us. This meant the event lasted at least three times longer than planned, and after a while was quite boring.
My Congressman (Alan Grayson) carefully avoided his office, although a couple of our people ran into him in a corridor. On trying to introduce themselves as constituents, he was very standoffish and pretty much ignored them.
A group of us waiting in his office for a pre-requested tour of the Capitol, got into a discussion with some of the staffers, who are most certainly Kool-Aid drinkers. While our discussion was passionate at no point was it threatening. yet all of a sudden Grayson's s
tormed out of an inner office, insisting that we should be quiet while waiting in a very rude way. When we reminded her for whom she and her boss worked (us!) she asked us to leave and threatened to call security if we did not.
Security throughout the Capitol building is very high and makes airport security look like a kindergarten. To visit the house floor visitor gallery we had to leave everything behind, you are not allowed to write, read or speak when there.
The Ugly
While we were in the Congressional office buildings a number of people were being arrested, as they were staging a sit-in at Pelosi's office and were tearing up the 1990 pages of the Pelosi-care bill. Even a 77 year old priest as manhandled out of the office, for refusing to give his full name (just Father XXXX).
I also heard a rumor that Grayson had another person arrested but cannot find any evidence of that. Perhaps our ejection had been magnified as it spread as folk-lore.
The final ugly item was, once in the visitor gallery of the house floor, to see how few legislators (about 30 out of 435) were actually present for the debate of whatever that day's business was (something to do with Homeland Security and chemical accidents). Not only do our legislators not read the bills, they do not listen to the debate either. Which probably means that 90% of the time they are just voting as the party tells them. And for that they earn a good six-figure income with majestic benefits. Nice work if you can get it!

Finally back home again, what an adventure. Thanks to all the Floridians and other patriots that I met today. I was proud to stand amongst the 20,000 who came to DC.

Thursday, November 5, 2009

And now the crowd has chanted the pledge of Allegiance. The crowd is growing by the minute 5000-8000 by now (MSM measurement 200-500)
At the Capitol steps, event moved to West side. At least 1000 here (10:30) and growing.
Arrived in DC, flight from Atlanta had a lot of patriots. I estimated 20-30. Then I met up with a retired Delta employee who told me there were at least 40 employees on the flight. This is going to be big!

Stefan Bartelski
Sent from my Samsung EPIX
Email on the go
Now that is real magic
Managed to catch earlier flight, arriving in DC now just after 9. Plenty of patriots on this flight. Most obvious by lack of carry-on baggage, or banners.
In Atlanta, next stop DC!
On my way to airport. Ready for DC killbill

Thoughts on Lobbyists

Any lobbyist is a BAD lobbyist, we conservatives have to stick to our principles. As soon as we start saying "there are lobbyists working for the people's best interests", we fall in the trap that got us into the mess we are in.
Our representatives should NOT NEED lobbyists, they should be talking to the people directly. The lobbyists also bring money to the table and therefore isolate our legislators even more from their constituents.

A suggestion for the DC bound

A message from Stephani Scruggs
Fellow Patriots,

Here's a suggestion from one of our fellow patriots out west. Bring a copy of the Constitution with you to DC. When you get the opportunity to speak with a Congressman or their staff, ask them to show you exactly where the constitution grants the Federal Government the ability to legislate Healthcare. If they respond with "the commerce clause", agree yes, insurance is not made "regular" between states, (insurance can not be sold across state lines), however this only makes up a fractional percentage of the bill. So ask them to explain where the constitution grants them the power to enact the rest of the bill.

Above all, remember our 12 Values and 9 Principles. Be polite, even if they are not. Be respectful, even if they are not. And please, please, please, keep you messages on point. This visit is NOT personal. It is NOT about Obama, Pelosi or any one official. This is about Legislation. If we resort to any sort of name calling, or insulting messages aimed at any one party, the media will once again paint this as nothing more than a race driven anti-Obama protest. To maintain our credibility, we must stay focused...this is about the legislation only.

Have a good trip everyone. Those of us back here in the great state of Florida will be praying for you.

Godspeed & God bless,
Stephani Scruggs

Glenn Beck's Ark????

Did anyone notice, in Glenn Beck's TV show tonight,
he mentioned that he is going to change course, do something different. He
used the analogy of Noah talking abouit the coming rain, but no-one was
lsitening so finally he had to just start building the Ark.

What is Glenn building? Could it be a third party, perhaps led by Sarah
Palin? Sarah has be quite a buzz in the last week or so, as intelligence
operatives might say, there is a lot of chatter. Both on talk radio,
Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity all mentioning her more that they ever have before,
and a flurry of postings on her Facebook page.

So, am I barking up the wrong tree? Anyone have any other ideas?
